Sannomiya is the main station and the most bustling downtown area in Hyogo, with JR, Hankyu, Hanshin, subway, and Port Liner lines all converging here. Interestingly, only the JR station is called "Sannomiya Station" with the "no" particle, while the other stations are simply "Sannomiya Station."
Close to Hankyu Sannomiya Station, there used to be three objects that looked like they were topped with an upside-down bowl. They were known as "Pie Mountains" due to their shape, and were a popular meeting spot.
The area around Hankyu Sannomiya Station was closed for several years for redevelopment, and it was renovated in 2021 as Sannomi Amore Plaza.
There are stone objects to sit on, and it continues to be used as a meeting and rest spot, just like the old days.
