For those of you traveling around Kansai using the JR Kobe Line, JR Kyoto Line, or Biwako Line, this station will be familiar! You'll often see the New Rapid and Rapid trains bound for Aboshi here.
This station is located in Aboshi-ku, Himeji City, but since it's close to Taishi Town, many people from Taishi Town also use it.
The area in front of the station is quite sparse, and the only place to sit seems to be the benches near the ticket machines inside the station.
There are north and south exits, and since the station is built on an overpass, there are stairs and elevators at each exit. There's also a gentle slope that curves around the stairs in a U-shape. There's a notice asking cyclists to dismount, so it seems you can use the slope to pass through the station and move between the north and south sides by foot.
