You can reach Ako Castle after a 15-minute walk from Banshu-Ako Station. The castle grounds are quite spacious, with the Honmaru Garden and Ninomaru Garden beautifully maintained, and benches are placed everywhere. Some are even covered with a gazebo-style roof.
While the turrets and gates have all been reconstructed, they are still impressive to behold.
