JR Nishinomiya Station was formerly known as Nishinomiya Station, but it was renamed in 2007 to match the city's name.
Nishinomiya-kitaguchi Station on the Hankyu line is the central station in Nishinomiya City, and Hanshin Nishinomiya Station is closer to the city hall. The JR, Hankyu, and Hanshin stations are all located in different places, and it takes about 30 minutes to transfer on foot.
Although JR Nishinomiya Station is less flashy compared to Hankyu and Hanshin, it is still used by a considerable number of people because rapid trains stop there.
At the north exit, there is a memorial for those who died in the war in this area, and there is a simple bench there. It looks like you can sit down by tilting the green part.
