There is a promenade called Nakazaki Playground near Akashi City Hall, with seats near the Radio Tower.
The Radio Tower used to broadcast radio programs from a tower that housed radio receivers, so that many people could listen to the radio when it was still a precious thing.
There were about 450 of these towers all over Japan, but now only about 40 remain.
There used to be an aquarium around here, and the name Nakazaki Playground still conveys the atmosphere of those days.
