Walking along the Okawa River from Tenma Station, you'll find a stairway-like area with several wooden benches and seats.
You can't miss it, as there are two Hachikenya-hama Lanterns right in front of you.
This area flourished during the Edo period as a port connecting Kyoto and Osaka by boat, and it seems there were eight boat inns, which is where the name came from.
Now, it has been restored as a port where you can enjoy cruising and is also a place of relaxation.
