You'll find a plaza a short walk from Wakamatsu Station towards the Wakamatsu Band area.
It's empty, but spacious. Hence, a plaza!
On the station side of the plaza, there are circular benches around the planted trees.
There's a large pergola on what looks like a stage.
It seems like a good spot to wait for someone in Wakamatsu.
There are also restrooms available, which is convenient.
It's a great place to take a break on your way to Wakamatsu Band or Wakato Bridge. I spent a little time here just relaxing. Nearby, you can also see objects that reflect the history of the coal mines, such as SLs.
