Akabane Station is a terminal station where many lines stop, and it's bustling with passengers transferring between trains.
The downtown area of Akabane, with its red lantern-lined streets and shopping streets, is on the east side of the station.

Right outside the station is the Akabane Station East Exit Plaza.
It seems to be famous for its illuminations during the winter season.

There are also objects with waterways in the East Exit Plaza.
Perhaps they are meant to resemble small mountains, but I wasn't quite sure.
Around the objects, there are spaces where you can sit, and many people were seen taking a break.

The Hotel Mets side has a bus rotary, making it a plaza where many people come and go.
The "Ichibangai" area, famous for its red lantern-lined drinking streets, is also nearby.

The seating isn't very comfortable, but some people use it as a meeting spot in Akabane.
It's also a great place to quickly eat your lunch if you're in a hurry in Akabane.
If you'd like to take a break somewhere a bit more spacious with more seats, "Beans Terrace Rest Area" is recommended!
So, why not try using these places as resting spots near Akabane Station?
