The International Shin-Akasaka Building consists of two towers: the East Wing (24 stories above ground) and the West Wing (18 stories above ground).
The East Wing is closer to Hie Shrine, while the West Wing is closer to Akasaka Elementary School.
The East Wing houses tenants such as Starbucks, Maruetsu Petit, FamilyMart, and a bookstore, making it feel like the main hub of the building.
To get to the International Shin-Akasaka Building West Wing, it's right outside Exit 5b of Akasaka Station on the Chiyoda Line.

Connected to the International Shin-Akasaka Building from Exit 5b, there's a patio-like space outside called the Refresh Square.
If you're coming from the ground level of Akasaka Sacas, you can use the spiral staircase in front of the photo to get to the square.

The Refresh Square features a geometric tiled floor and streetlights placed at equal intervals. It's lovely.
The East Wing has tenants that are frequented by many people, such as the supermarket and Starbucks, while the West Wing is mainly for offices, so it was quiet.
I visited on a Saturday, and as you can see in the photos, no one was using the benches, so I could relax there♪

There were six metal mesh benches, each seating three people.
They are designed so that water doesn't accumulate on the seats even in the rain and are made to last.

It's an open and spacious area, so I think it can be used as a place for families to take a break or to eat lunch boxes from Akasaka.
You can go to FamilyMart from the B1F of the square towards the East Wing, so it's easy to buy lunch boxes and other things.

Stone benches are also scattered around the 1st floor near the ground, which can be reached from the square by stairs.
Because there is planting, it's hard to see from the road, making it a relaxing spot for a break.
Also, the 1st floor has a fortress-like structure, so I think you can enjoy walking around it (lol)
By the way, right near these benches...

There is an entrance/exit to Akasaka Station, which is convenient as a meeting place in Akasaka.
Also, don't forget to check out the square and benches on the other side, near the "International Shin-Akasaka Building East Wing near Starbucks"!
So, why not take advantage of the International Shin-Akasaka Building and use it as a place to sit and take a break in Akasaka?
