"Maybe more grass, and winter is better"
If you walk from Oimachi Station towards Aomono-yokocho, you'll find the former Sendai Slope, commonly known as Kurayamizaka.

There are benches here and there on Kurayamizaka. There's a spot to sit in front of the tabu tree on Sendai Slope.

It's called Sendai Slope because the former Sendai Domain had its villa here. And this is the old Sendai Slope.

There are benches on the sidewalk of the slope. It's a spot where you can overlook the Keikyu elevated tracks from the bench.

The grass is quite overgrown, so it might be nice to use it in autumn or winter.
It's a good place to take a break when going from Oimachi to Aomono-yokocho.
So, why not use these as resting places near Samezu Station?
