"Close to Nijo Castle"
Nijo Castle is a short walk from Nijo-jo-mae Station.
The entrance closest to Nijo-jo-mae Station is the Higashi Ote Gate, and there are benches along the moat a little distance from the gate.
There are many benches for two people.
It's nice to see the gate and turret of Nijo Castle from the benches!
You can also use them to rest when you get tired from sightseeing in Kyoto (Pen-ta did too).
A few mallard ducks were also visiting the moat.
The area in front of the Higashi Ote Gate is crowded with tourists, but you can rest a little further away.
These benches nearby are a hidden gem when it's crowded.
So, why not use these benches as a place to rest around Nijo-jo-mae Station?
