From the grand torii gate of Izumo Taisha Shrine, walk along the pine-lined approach, then turn left from the copper torii gate, and you'll find Kagura-den Hall.

Kagura-den Hall is home to a massive shimenawa (sacred straw rope). It's the kind of impressive scale that truly represents Izumo Taisha Shrine.

And guess what? There's a bench where you can sit and admire that very shimenawa. I was mesmerized for a while... Let's take advantage of these benches to rest during your visit.
