"The Square of Suteki Kyomise"
You can get to Kyomise from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station on foot, or by bus from Matsue Station. And in the center is the Matsue Kyomise Karakoro Hiroba.

Karakoro Hiroba. The name comes from the sound of the "karakoro" of Lafcadio Hearn's geta (wooden clogs) as he walked across Matsue Ohashi Bridge.

Kyomise is also a base for the Horikawa Sightseeing Boat. The Horikawa River is also wonderful!

This square is characterized by its large vermilion umbrellas. There are many tables and benches.

The tables are perfect for eating takeout nearby.
There are various gourmet foods in Kyomise, such as dango (sweet rice dumplings).

There are also distinctive vending machines and toilets, which is helpful.

There are also benches with backs.
So, why not use this area as a resting place near Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station?
