Ebisu Garden Place is a stylish complex that opened on the site of the former Sapporo Beer factory, featuring shopping, offices, residences, and a museum.
And it's also where Sapporo Beer's headquarters are located.
Sapporo Beer started brewing Yebisu Beer in this area, which led to the establishment of "Ebisu Station" as a station for transporting Yebisu Beer!
I see!
To get to Ebisu Garden Place, exit the JR Ebisu Station East Exit ticket gate and go right, then follow the moving walkway, Ebisu Skywalk. You'll find it along the way. (※There are benches on the Skywalk as well)
There are also signs, so you shouldn't get lost!

Garden Place is quite spacious!
This time, we'll take a look at the benches near the clock tower in the "D・G area" at the bottom of the map.

This is near the entrance of Ebisu Garden Place, right in front of you after exiting the Ebisu Skywalk.
There were two-seater wooden benches lined up on the left side of the photo.
Since there's nothing to block the sun, it gets plenty of sunlight, and perhaps because I visited in the summer, there were no users.

And there are two-seater wooden benches around the clock tower!
At the benches arranged in a circle, you can take a rest in the shade.
However, since you can see the center plaza of Garden Place and Joël Robuchon (a Western-style restaurant) over the clock tower, it's crowded because many couples use it.
Therefore, if I were the manager, Pen-ta, I would select the following benches!

Next to "G: Ebisu Mitsukoshi" on the map, there are five two-seater wooden benches near the clock tower.
Don't you think it's quite stylish, considering how empty it is!?
The benches are spaced widely, and there aren't many people passing by, so I recommend it.

They are sturdy benches, and they look like they would fit right in a garden.
The backs aren't straight, but they follow the curve of your lower back, so they are comfortable to sit on!
By the way, I enjoyed the cute penguin bread I bought at the bakery "Johan" in Mitsukoshi B1F here♪

The only downside is that there is no change in the scenery, and you can only sit while staring at Mitsukoshi, haha.
But since it's close to the entrance of Garden Place, it's not easy to be noticed, so it can be used for dates in Ebisu.
Also, be sure to check that you can use free Wi-Fi for 60 minutes, up to 3 times a day!

By the way, the castle-like building you can see at the back of Garden Place, "Benches around Joël Robuchon in Ebisu Garden Place" is also highly recommended, so be sure to check it out!
So, why not try using it as a place to take a break around Ebisu?
