Takashimaya in Futako-Tamagawa is divided into several buildings, including the Main Building, South Building, West Building, Annex, and Garden Island.
Garden Island, one of them, is located a little away from Futako-Tamagawa Station, just like an island.

To get to Garden Island, go straight along Tamagawa-dori and up the hill to the depression.
However, it's quite a walk, so I recommend using the free shuttle bus. The shuttle bus to Garden Island runs regularly from in front of Salvatore, West Building 1F.

And on the 2nd floor of Garden Island, there is a rooftop garden.
To get to the rooftop garden, go up the outside escalator and then up the stairs in front.

Like an island, it's a spot where you can enjoy various plants and flowers. It's a healing garden with a fountain.

The rooftop garden also has many spaces where you can sit and take a break.

There are 4-seater tables and cute wooden benches. The flooring is a deck with good drainage.
Next to the benches, there was also a path where you can enjoy gardening.

The benches on the raised deck are also recommended. They were in the shade, so I could relax there.
You can chat with friends there while shopping, and it seems like a good date spot in Futako-Tamagawa.

These tables surrounded by greenery are also lovely. It's an environment that's easy for families with children to use.

As the name Garden Island suggests, it seems like a good place to visit when you want to feel the healing power of greenery in Futako-Tamagawa.
There are other places to rest in Garden Island.
So, why not use Garden Island as a place to take a break while shopping near Futako-Tamagawa Station?
