Futako-Tamagawa Rise is a large shopping mall that surrounds Futako-Tamagawa Station, with facilities extending from the front of the station ticket gates along the Tama River.
Each area has a name: "Shopping Center, Dogwood Plaza, Oak Mall, Birds Mall, and Plaza Mall."
Furthermore, even within the shopping center, there are four sections: "Station Market, Town Front, River Front, and Terrace Market."
Lots of Katakana, right... lol
And, there were benches where you could sit and take a break near the 3rd floor roof garden and the vegetable garden square of the Terrace Market!

Benches are set up from the 109 Cinemas to the rooftop vegetable garden.
It was unfortunately raining when Pen-ta, the site manager, visited, but it's a stylish place to take a break.
Take a good look at these benches you'll find at the roof garden in Futako-Tamagawa.

The seats have a stylish structure with stones enclosed in a wire frame underneath.
It seems this structure of wire mesh with stones in it is called a Gabion.
It sounds like something from an Ultra Monster, doesn't it?
It's durable and seems to be excellent in terms of maintenance with natural materials.
I've never seen it used as a bench before, さすが Futako-Tamagawa! (As expected, Futako-Tamagawa!)
And when you go further in, you'll see a vegetable garden square along with the benches.

It's a community-type vegetable garden where you can grow vegetables and fruits, with the aim of passing down the agricultural culture of the Tama River.
Local elementary school students do agricultural training, and you can also experience harvesting summer vegetables.
When Pen-ta was an elementary school student, he was digging up potatoes in a field, but the Nikotama kids are different, lol.
The benches in this area are quiet and relaxing, so it's convenient to remember when you want to take a break in Futako-Tamagawa.
It's perfect for families with children too.
It looks like a great place to eat your lunch from Futako-Tamagawa!
Also, the "Rooftop Garden 5F, Open Field Square/Sky Deck" nearby is a highly recommended break spot in Futako-Tamagawa, so please stop by!
So, why not use these benches as a place to rest in Futako-Tamagawa while you're shopping at Futako-Tamagawa Rise?
