Ginza Mitsukoshi, a historic department store that opened in 1930, is truly amazing! On holidays, there are four elevator girls on duty, which is quite a sight!
To get to Ginza Mitsukoshi, you can access it from various exits in the Ginza Station underground concourse, such as "A7, A8, A11, B1, and B2 exits." The easiest one to find is Exit A7!

As Mitsukoshi dominates this area, it's incredibly convenient from Ginza Station.
Ginza Mitsukoshi is divided into the main building and the annex, but you can take either elevator and head to the 9th floor.
The 9th floor itself is called "Ginza Terrace," and the outdoor garden is called "Terrace Garden."
And there are many places where you can sit and take a break in the Terrace Garden!

Ta-da! An open and airy area appears on the rooftop of Ginza Mitsukoshi!
This is on the rooftop of a building, you know?
The Terrace Garden with its beautifully maintained lawn is very pleasant when the weather is nice.
The Terrace Garden is mostly a lawn area, with walkways around it.

Near the entrance of the Terrace Garden, there are many tables with four chairs.
The terrace itself isn't too crowded, so you can relax here while gazing at the lawn.

With wooden tables on a wooden deck, you can take a break while feeling a sense of warmth.
Because the tables are large, they can also be used as a place to eat your Ginza bento lunch.

And this is the view from that wooden deck!
You can see the Yamano Music and Mikimoto buildings on Harumi Street, as well as Mitsukan (Mitsukoshi's sign).
At the end of the terrace, there are trees, making it a resting spot where you can feel the greenery even while in the concrete jungle.

Benches are lined up around the lawn.
Even if the tables on the terrace are full, there are plenty of places to sit, which is convenient!
As for the resting area's environment, santolina herbs are grown, and attention to detail can be seen in the planting as well.

When you visit Ginza with children, let them play in the garden terrace of Ginza Mitsukoshi!
There are tables that are easy for families to use, making it a convenient resting spot.

By the way, there is a roof over part of the terrace with table seating.
Because of this, even if it starts to drizzle, you can take a break without getting wet under the eaves.
When we did the actual survey, it was drizzling, but as you can see in the photos, there were many people taking a break.

What's more, the lineup of trash cans is impressive!
It's rare to find trash cans where you can dispose of ice and leftover drinks.
It's like they're saying, "Eat your lunch or dinner here in Ginza!" Haha
In addition, there are also counter seats indoors on the 9th floor, so if you want to do some Nomad/Remote work or take a break indoors, "Rest areas on the 9th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi" is recommended!
So, how about using it as a place to sit and take a break around Ginza while you're shopping at Ginza Mitsukoshi!?
