Ginza Six is one of the commercial facilities in the Ginza numbering system located under the JR line guard (Ginza Five, Ginza Nine). It is a 13-story department store that opened in April 2017, breaking away from the underpass and along Ginza-dori street.
It is also a challenging commercial facility that has introduced the "tenant system" of space rental from the "purchasing system" of department stores.
To get to Ginza Six, you can access it from Exit A2 or A3 of Ginza Station, and it's located next to Ginza Core.
(For some reason, Exit A3 is always under construction, so it's best to walk from Exit A2.)
Enter from Chuo-dori and go up to the 2nd floor by escalator.

The above is the official floor map of the 2nd floor of Ginza Six.
Focus on the Mihara-dori side on the right side of the map!
Outside of the 2nd floor of Ginza Six, above the tourist bus information center, there is an open space called "Mihara Terrace." You can access it from inside the 2nd floor, and there are places on the terrace where you can sit and take a break.

I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow! I didn't know there was a place like this!"
There are many benches and tables around the planted trees, making it a perfect space for a break in Ginza!
It's an open space with a sense of openness surrounded by the buildings of Ginza!

There were cushion bench seats outdoors!
With parasols, it's great for sitting and avoiding direct sunlight.
The front is made of glass, so it's the best position to sit and take a break while watching people passing by!

There were table seats that can accommodate 3-4 people.
The tables are a bit small, but they are perfect for working remotely or desk work with a laptop.
You can also use it as a place to eat your lunchbox in Ginza.

There are many seats, and there's plenty of space, so it's convenient for families with children to take a break.
You don't often find places in Ginza where families can relax and take a break.
It feels like an outdoor terrace of a cafe, making it a recommended break spot in Ginza.
As for the congestion situation, I visited around 1 p.m. on a Saturday in the summer, and as you can see from the photos!
It seemed to be about half full.
If anyone knows the situation on weekdays, please let me know!
Also, the "GINZA SIX Rooftop Garden", where you can enjoy the view of Ginza and has lawns, is also recommended, so please stop by! It's right there by elevator.
So, why not use Ginza Six as a place to sit and take a break while shopping in Ginza and the surrounding areas?
