The main street in front of Hamamatsu Station has an underground passage, providing access to places like the bus terminal and Act City.
You can also go directly to the underground passage from Hamamatsu Station.

The central part of the underground passage is circular, and there are benches where you can sit and take a break in the open area above ground.
The benches are made of stone, with a cut pattern on the sides. As in the first photo, there are also benches under the ceiling of the rotary area, so you can rest away from direct sunlight.
However, since it is an outdoor environment, it is difficult to avoid rain and wind.

It looks like a terraced object and a tower in the center. Is it a ventilation tower?

There was also a cool-looking water flow object nearby. Even so, there are many water flow objects around Hamamatsu Station.

Is this art of a shield machine that dug the underground passage?

This is a signboard for bus routes departing from and arriving at Hamamatsu Station. Here, they also provide information on Hamamatsu sightseeing brochures and rental of strollers.
So, why not use it as a place to take a break around Hamamatsu Station?
