Seavans is a high-rise office complex located along the Shibaura Canal, consisting of two office buildings and an atrium.
I just happened to visit this place, but after looking into it, I found out that the Seavans atrium is the largest in Japan!
Furthermore, I think it's one of the largest rest areas in Tokyo! (Details will be described later)
To get to Seavans, you can walk from the south exit of Hamamatsucho Station using the pedestrian deck.

The pedestrian deck connects from the "Hinode Pier" area, which is located at the bottom left of the Hamamatsucho Station layout.
Then, go to the end of the pedestrian deck, go down the stairs, and walk straight through the green area to the intersection, where you'll find Seavans.

Hamamatsucho Building and Shin-Hama Park, and you'll come to this scenery.
There are high-rise buildings, the S building and the N building, on the left and right, and the white building in the photo is the atrium, "a-mall."
And, there was a place in a-mall where you could sit and take a break.

a-mall is a long, four-story commercial facility, and there were many tables on the 1st floor.
By the way, when I visited on a Saturday, the floors other than the 1st floor were closed, so it seems that only the 1st floor is open on weekends and holidays.

Near the Seavans entrance on the Hamamatsucho Station side, there were three sets of four-seater tables with parasols.
Since they are placed on the window side, these seats offer a great view of the terraces around Seavans.
It's nice to be able to take a break and avoid direct sunlight with a parasol.

Next are the two-seater table seats next to Doutor.
This Doutor is only open on weekdays and closed on weekends and holidays.
At first glance, I thought they were tables exclusively for Doutor, but it seems that they can be used even on holidays.
If you "want to drink coffee...", you can buy it at Lawson or McDonald's, so don't worry!

These are table seats under the stairs near Lawson.
This area is surrounded by plants, and the atmosphere of the rest area is also good!
Get a lunch box at Lawson and have lunch here!

There's more, haha.
There are also many table seats in front of McDonald's.
Since there is a clock tower, it seems like a good place to meet up with colleagues or friends.
Even so, there are so many female users... why!?

I came to the end of the atrium, the Shibaura Canal side.
There is a stream in the atrium, and the trees are lush, so you can relax and take a break.
If you want to do Nomad/Remote work or desk work in Hamamatsucho, these table seats are recommended!

There was a notice about sharing seats at the table seats.
According to Wikipedia, the daytime population of the Seavans area exceeds 8,000 people! Really!?
Therefore, congestion is expected during the weekday lunch hours.
I came to a place called Seavans in Hamamatsucho, but there were so many young women, it was eerily quiet 😶

Women kept coming in, but there are no fashionable cafes, and the only places open are convenience stores and McDonald's…
It was a mystery (・・? pic.twitter.com/e7Z2RWzKcH
So, it was a great rest area....
What's so great is the number of tables!! Probably the largest in Tokyo!? (as of August 2018)
And there's good news.
You can use free Wi-Fi in this rest area!
If you exclude the distance from Hamamatsucho Station and the congestion during weekday lunch hours, this is a pretty strong rest area.
That's all. Why not use it as a place to rest in the Hamamatsucho area?
