As you exit the ticket gates of Hino Station, you'll find the East Exit Plaza along the elevated tracks, on the old Koshu Kaido side.

There were four two-seater benches.

It seems that events are sometimes held in this open space.
Is that a penguin in the background?

Located on the wall side of a wide walkway, it's a great spot to relax while you wait.

It also seems like a good place to quickly eat a packed lunch near Hino Station.

The roof-like structure next to the plaza might be the remains of Hino brickworks.
There was a sign explaining it as a remaining structure of the brick industry that supported the Kobu Railway, the predecessor of the Chuo Line.
So, why not consider using these spots as places to relax around Hino Station?
