To get to Ikebukuro Station Fore Park, go out of the East Exit and walk towards Bic Camera.
Then, you'll find PARCO P Ikebukuro store tucked away near the train tracks, so walk straight past it.
Soon you'll see the Dai-ichi Inn Ikebukuro business hotel and the Hyper Lane bowling alley, and the entrance to Ikebukuro Station Fore Park is right nearby!

This park is long and narrow, running along the train tracks.
The park is combined with a bicycle parking area, and many people were using it as a bicycle parking space on the east side of Ikebukuro.

There is a smoking area in Ikebukuro Station Fore Park, so it's convenient to remember this as a place to smoke on the east side of Ikebukuro.
(Pen-ta doesn't smoke...)
Also, Ikebukuro Suiten-gu Shrine is located on the right side of the photo.
Suiten-gu Shrine's main shrine is in Kurume, Kyushu, but I wonder if it was built because of the many rice paddies that used to be in Ikebukuro.

Now, pipe-shaped benches have been installed along the planting in Ikebukuro Station Fore Park.
Since the seat is cylindrical, Pen-ta's butt slipped when he sat on it (lol)
As you can see, the bench feels cool when you sit on it, but it seems useful as a meeting place in Ikebukuro or when you want to take a short break.

By the way, these benches are located further in, past the entrance to the park's bicycle parking area.
It seems better to use it during the day because of concerns about safety at night.
So, why not use it as a place to take a break and sit down around Ikebukuro?
