Ikuta, where the steep slopes that make Meiji University and Senshu University students groan await you.
Even going to the discount supermarket OK Store Ikuta is quite a challenge...
But this area is rich in nature, including Ikuta Ryokuchi Park, so you can actually have a lot of fun taking a walk here.
Now, let's get off at the south exit of Ikuta Station on the Odakyu Line, cross the Gotanda River in front of you, and head towards Meiji University.

You'll pass by "Ramen Shunshi," a tonkotsu ramen shop that seems to be a favorite of Meiji University students, and head towards the Seven-Eleven, where you'll see uphill slopes and stairs.
As expected of Ikuta, you can't avoid the uphill slopes...

And on the way up the hill, you'll see "Mita No. 7 Park" on your right.
The local name for this area is "Mita," and there seem to be other parks, such as No. 2 and No. 3.
I haven't conquered any other park but No. 7 yet (lol)

Inside the park, there are two two-seater wooden benches with handrails.
There are no public toilets or playground equipment, and it's a small park with gravel, but it was completed in 2010, so it's a relatively new park.
Perhaps for disaster prevention, there's a small warehouse.

There's a magnificent cherry tree in the park, and a bench is placed directly beneath it.
It's a calm spot near Ikuta Station where you can relax, and it might be nice to chat under the cherry blossoms.

The park seems like a great place for cherry blossom viewing in spring, and you can see hydrangeas planted here and there.
It's a simple park, but it's well-maintained, so I recommend stopping by for a break♪
So, why not use it as a resting place with seating around Ikuta Station?
