“La Cittadella” is a complex commercial facility inspired by the streets of Italy, featuring restaurants, shopping, a cinema, and a live house.
To get to La Cittadella, go from the JR Kawasaki Station East Exit, on the LeFRONT side, cross the Kawasaki Station South Intersection and walk towards the Dai-ichi Keihin.
And, there's a place to rest with benches in the corridor on the 2nd floor of Maggiore, where the entrance to the CINE CITTA cinema is located.
※Maggiore means "large".

Five wooden benches for two people are installed.
First, go up the corridor from the fountain square, and you'll find benches on the wall near Manny, an eye esthetic salon.
This area has a slightly wider space, but it's near the entrance, so you might be bothered by people passing by.
If you continue along the path, you'll find a bench and planters with plants in front of ReRaKu, as shown in the photo above.
This corridor is themed after a medieval hilltop town in Italy, making it a relaxing place to take a break with a nice atmosphere overall.

And what's special about these benches is that they are placed on a steep slope.
Because of this, you'll gradually tilt towards the slope as you sit.
If you want to go on a date with your partner, you might be able to use this to your advantage!?
La Cittadella is a stylish commercial facility that doesn't seem to fit in Kawasaki, and it reminded me of the design of Canal City Hakata and Namba Parks.
I thought so, and it turns out that the facility was designed by "Jerde Partnership," a design company formerly headed by American architect Jon Jerde.
Canal City, Namba Parks, and La Cittadella are all projects by the same company.
Now, if you go towards the CINE CITTA entrance of the cinema, you'll find a stylish shopping street.

There are simple wooden benches in two colors: brown and dark brown.
There are taller planters than the ones in front of ReRaKu, creating a calm atmosphere.
Regarding congestion, when I checked on weekends and holidays in the evening, there were no users.
I had the impression that it was less crowded than usual for a holiday.
I didn't feel the liveliness of the opening, but it's easy to take a break because it's not crowded.
Overall, it seems like it could also be used as a date spot in Kawasaki.
Also, the "Maggiore 3F Sky Bridge" nearby is a recommended spot where you can enjoy the night view, so please stop by!
So, why not use La Cittadella as a resting place while shopping in Kawasaki?
