The West Exit ticket gate (Atre Main Building gate) of JR Kichijoji Station connects to the Atre Main Building, and there's a Starbucks Coffee and L'Occitane near the ticket gate.
And, there's a seating area by the escalator near the West Exit ticket gate.

About 20 single chairs are set up here.
Various designs of chairs are placed, but the red round chairs are "Atelier round chairs" that were used in the art room of Seikei Elementary School.
After looking into it, there seems to be a group that is restoring and repainting chairs that have memories from people in the city, and setting up "small rest areas" in the town.
There seem to be red chairs scattered around the Kichijoji area, so it might be fun to look for them while taking a walk in Kichijoji.
As a resting spot, it's perfect for meeting up in Kichijoji because the Kichijoji Station ticket gate is right in front of you!
From my experience using it in the summer, the air conditioning is weak and there's a lot of foot traffic, so I think it's better for a quick break or a meeting point.
I think the area near the West Exit ticket gate is probably the most crowded spot in Kichijoji Atre.
If you want to relax and take a break a little more, "Atre B1F" and "Atre East Building (JR East Exit ticket gate)" are recommended.
Why not use it for shopping at Atre Kichijoji or as a seating rest area around Kichijoji Station?
