To get to Tokyu Department Store, exit the Central ticket gate of the JR lines and proceed towards the Parco building from the bus rotary at the North Exit, heading along Heiwadori street.
You'll then arrive at an intersection where UNIQLO is located. Turn away from the tracks on Kichijoji Street, and you'll see Tokyu Department Store.
And guess what? I found a place to sit and take a break next to Tokyu Department Store, in front of Mizuho Bank!

A circular stone bench has been installed next to Tokyu Department Store, on the Kichijoji Street side.
It's located near the crosswalk signal, so you might feel a little self-conscious with people passing by, but there's plenty of space.
It's a great spot for families with children who want to take a quick break.

If you continue down the street from the circular bench, you'll find a square stone bench.
It's just as it looks, in terms of comfort, but it's great for a quick rest while shopping in the "back area of Tokyu, Kichijoji."
As for how crowded it gets, while it doesn't always get completely full, there are always people using it, regardless of the time of day.
If it's crowded or you'd prefer to rest indoors nearby, be sure to check out the "Benches near the 1st floor, No. 1 stairs of Tokyu Department Store" as well!
So, why not take advantage of these rest areas around Kichijoji Station?
