You can find the first Blue Bottle Coffee shop in Japan, which has become less rare these days, in Kiyosumi-shirakawa.
To get to Blue Bottle, go out of Exit A3 of Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station, head towards the Fukagawa Edo Museum, and then go south through the residential area towards Monzen-nakacho.
It's interesting that the third-wave coffee (is it a dead term?) opened in Kiyosumi-shirakawa, which used to be a warehouse district. I went there once myself.
And, after a few years, I stopped by Blue Bottle again, and it was still quite crowded, so it seems like its popularity hasn't waned at all.
And so, I arrived at the Kisaragibashi North intersection, which is very close to Blue Bottle.

And, when you cross the intersection, there's a sign along the Sendai Horikawa River that says "Historical and Cultural Promenade."

Oh, I found a place where you can sit and rest behind the sign!

There were two single-person stone benches lined up.
The Blue Bottle store is packed with people, so it might be a good idea to take out your coffee and take a break here.
Also, there were similar benches on the other side of the intersection.

There is a promenade along the Sendai Horikawa River, leading to Kiyosumi Garden and Sumida River.
If you go to Blue Bottle, it would be nice to walk to Kiyosumi Garden along this promenade.
By the way, at the next bridge along the river, there is the "Site of Saichaan (Statue of Matsuo Basho and Bench)", which was the starting point of the Narrow Road to the Interior, so let's take a photo with Basho.

Kiba's famous folk art, Kiba no Tsunonori, in Koto-ku, which had many lumberyards.
It seems to have originated from the work of manipulating lumber and assembling rafts with a single Tobiguchi (a type of hook).
Apparently, it's more difficult than riding a log... It's quite a high-level skill, such as blindfolding and riding in geta!.

I tried drinking the New Orleans I bought at Blue Bottle while looking at the Sendai Horikawa River.
Even so, a walk around Fukagawa is quite fun, so I recommend it.
When "families with children want to rest and eat in a spacious place around here!", "Kiyosumi Garden Children's Park" is the best choice!
You can see it very close by if you proceed along the promenade towards Kiyosumi Garden along the river!
So, how about using Kiyosumi-shirakawa as a meeting place or a place to take a break?
