"Far but cozy"
You'll find the Sora Hiroba (Sky Plaza) at the top of the grand staircase in Kyoto Station Building. After climbing the stairs, you'll be rewarded with a lovely view!
The Kyoto Tower, a mysterious circular symbol, and benches.
It's quite high up, and as you can see, you can look down on the grand staircase.
Of course, you can access it by climbing the grand staircase, but it's a bit of a challenge, so it's a good idea to use the elevator in the station building. (There used to be races to run up the grand staircase, haha)
It seems to be called Happy Terrace.
Depending on the season, it seems it becomes a lawn terrace!
The object and benches that make use of the vermilion color of Kyoto Tower.
There are benches around Happy Terrace.
This place has a Japanese feel, which is nice. Somehow, it feels like Kyoto. It would have been even better if it hadn't been cloudy...!
The surrounding concrete block planting is also modern and nice.
An inorganic bench. That's also nice.
So, it seems like a good place for a date in Kyoto, or when you want to eat your lunch. Though, it's a bit far.
Also, the benches nearby are also recommended.
So, why not use it as a rest area where you can sit down near Kyoto Station?
