American Mountain Park is a lush green park on the hill in the Motomachi and Yamate area!
It's a three-dimensional urban park located above the station building along the Motomachi Shopping Street, and it's also a sightseeing hub adjacent to the Foreign Cemetery, Yamate Western Houses, and Harbor View Park.
To get to American Mountain Park, head for Exit 6 (American Mountain Park Entrance) from Motomachi-Chukagai Station, the terminal station of the Minatomirai Line.
Since American Mountain Park is on the rooftop of the Minatomirai Station building, you can reach it by taking the elevator to the rooftop after exiting the ticket gate.
You can also take the escalator, but it takes a while, so I recommend the elevator (lol)

This is the entrance to American Mountain Park on the foreign cemetery side.
Although it was a rainy day visit, I was excited to see the beautifully maintained garden.

What is the origin of American Mountain?
It's a land related to the U.S. consulate in the early Meiji era, and after the war, it was taken over by the U.S. military. The park on the elevated land was named American Mountain.

Near the entrance to the garden, there was a pergola and a curved stone bench where you could sit.
The flowers in the planters on both sides are cute and have a stylish atmosphere ♪

The park has an open view throughout, giving you a sense of freedom, so you can spend your time comfortably ♪
It's a gentle hill, and there were wooden benches for two people dotted along the walls.

In front of the bench, there is a flower bed, and you can relax and rest while enjoying the lawn and beautiful flowers.
It also seems like a good place to eat a packed lunch from Motomachi!
If the weather is good, you can also see the Yokohama Marine Tower, a symbol of Yokohama, up close.

There was also a gazebo, which is often seen in the Yamate area.
The gold crest on both sides of the stone-paved entrance is cute ♪

There was also a bench inside the gazebo where you could sit and rest!
It was raining, so the wooden bench didn't look good in the photos, so the shot is from a distance, sorry.
And American Mountain Park is said to have beautiful illuminations...
So, I decided to visit again at night!

The beautifully decorated illuminations of American Mountain Park!
The moon object is also somehow fantastic and wonderful.

I took a picture of the bench!
Why not relax and take a break with a hot coffee while enjoying the illuminated garden?
It also seems like a good date spot in Motomachi ♪
Also, you can enjoy the night view of Yokohama!
If you are looking for an indoor rest area, "American Mountain Park 4F" is recommended!
So, why not use American Mountain Park as a resting place in Motomachi while you are taking a walk?
