The south exit, the bustling part of Mukogaoka-Yuen, is filled with izakayas (Japanese pubs), a bowling alley, and a Daiei supermarket, attracting many students.
Let's head from the south exit towards Ikuta Ryokuchi Park and the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum.
And then, you'll find benches where you can sit and rest near the intersection in front of Kusuri no Nakayama!

Look for the signs that guide you to the station and tourist spots, as well as the surrounding area maps.
The area in front of the station can be crowded with people, but just a short walk away, you can find a relaxing spot to take a break.

Take a closer look, and you'll see this is an artistic rest area.
Perhaps it represents a stream or a greenway? The black, flowing lines are surrounded by bright tiles that seem to depict plants and trees, and the surrounding plants feel like they've been freshly planted?
It has a miniature feel, and the square mini-planters in front of the bench are adorable ♪

And the fence surrounding the bench has local information inserted.
Hmm, what can I say, it's a rest spot that's not quite like any other! Thoughtful touches are everywhere.
It's a shame there's some trash, but it can't be helped since it's near the station.
Oh, maybe this rest area is designed to represent the famous "Nikaryo Yosui" canal in this area.
Also, there's a bench on the healing greenway nearby, so be sure to check that out too!
So, why not use this as a place to sit and rest around Mukogaoka-Yuen Station?
