The south exit of Mukogaoka-Yuen is a bustling area with izakayas (Japanese pubs), a bowling alley, and Daiei, attracting many students.
You can also walk from the south exit to Ikuta Ryokuchi Park and the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum.
Now, if you head towards Daiei from the south exit, you'll find a greenway called "Gokamurabori Greenway" near the Inao-hashi intersection.

The Gokamurabori Greenway is connected to the Nika-ryo Waterway, which is the oldest man-made water channel in Kanagawa.
When Mukogaoka-Yuen (amusement park) was here, there was a monorail that directly connected Mukogaoka-Yuen Station to the park.
And, because of the monorail track, a branch of the Nika-ryo Waterway was made into an underground culvert, but with the monorail's decommissioning, it was developed as a promenade, which is the "Gokamurabori Greenway"!
Perhaps as a remnant of that time, water flowed from a pyramid-like monument.

There were many two-seater wooden benches set up along the promenade, making it a spot where you can sit and take a break during your walk.
It was a small healing area where you could hear the murmur of water from the monument.

Walking along the greenway... I found Oba Q!
Speaking of Mukogaoka-Yuen, the "Fujiko F. Fujio Museum" is famous, but this Gokamurabori Greenway is a promenade to the museum.

The point is that you can walk from Mukogaoka-Yuen to the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum without getting bored while strolling through the greenway.
The Fuchu Kaido road is a bit bland, so please take a walk along the greenway.

After a short walk, I saw a pergola and benches.

It was a bit shaded, so it seems you can rest coolly even on a hot day.

There's a Daiei nearby, so it seems it can be used as a spot to eat a bento (lunch box) near Mukogaoka-Yuen.
(Pigeons were also taking a stroll)
Also, if you go through the Gokamurabori Greenway, you'll find "Bistro Le Bourgeon", where you can enjoy authentic French cuisine.
It seems they also have game dishes, so how about lunch during your walk!?
So, how about using it as a resting place with seats around Mukogaoka-Yuen Station?
