If you're looking for a spot to meet up, the Lily Fountain is a famous landmark, especially for those catching highway buses or joining tours in Nagoya.
To get to the Lily Fountain, head towards the Taikodoriguchi (太閤通口) side of Nagoya Station.
Taikodoriguchi is on the Shinkansen ticket gate side. From the silver clock in front of the ticket gates, exit Taikodoriguchi and you'll find the Nagoya Station West Police Box (名古屋駅西交番) right away.
The Lily Fountain is right in front of the police box!

The fountain surrounds the lily object, and you'll see the Nagoya Station West Police Box on the right.
I visited during the Obon holiday, and there were many groups waiting for tour guides or highway buses.

Since it's a large object, it's easy to spot even from a distance, and it's right outside Nagoya Station, so you won't get lost.
You'll see the highway bus stop on the left.

There were stone benches where you can sit around the fountain.
There's a little shade around the Lily Fountain, but it's mostly in the sun, so it was tough to sit and rest on a sunny summer day...

The stone benches are placed like buttons.
There's a lot of foot traffic, and the police box is nearby, so it's reassuring that the area around the station is safe.
Also, if you want to enjoy some Nagoya cuisine before getting on your bus, or if you're looking for a place to rest indoors, "Umaimon Street" is recommended!
So, why not use it as a meeting spot in Nagoya?
