"Kokubunji's Spring Water Bench"
A short walk from Nishi-Kokubunji Station brings you to the Sugatami Pond.

The Sugatami Pond has a wooden path.
It is selected as one of Tokyo's 57 best spring waters.

The pond's name, "Sugatami," comes from the courtesans of Koigakubo who used to gaze at their reflections here.
It's also the origin of the place name "Koigakubo," and it's said that it's the pond where the courtesan, Shukusaidayu, threw herself in, yearning for a warrior.

There are two benches for two people each.
You can relax and enjoy watching the water birds, such as ducks, and the carp from the benches.

It's an oasis for living creatures, and you might even see fireflies!
So, why not use this place as a relaxing spot near Nishi-Kokubunji Station?
