Nishikokubunji, a sacred place for Musashino Line users.
The south exit of Nishikokubunji Station is home to Lega, a shopping center directly connected to the station.
This shopping mall, with Tobu Store's "Nishikoku Mine" as its main tenant, sees more foot traffic than the north exit.
And, just past Lega, near the bus and taxi rotary in front of the station, you'll find a place to sit and relax.

There are circular stone benches that can accommodate about 15 people.
The center of the object-like bench holds water, and the structure is designed for people to sit around it.
It didn't look like a fountain, but rather water was stagnant.
Maybe the sphere in the middle is acting as a pump!?
If anyone knows, please let me know, haha!

As for the comfort, the seating surface was smooth and not bad at all.
Since the south exit area of Nishikokubunji has residential areas like apartments nearby, there was a lot of foot traffic depending on the train schedule.
In addition, there is a music hall called "Izumi Hall," which is operated by Kokubunji City, nearby.
There was also a place to sit near the hall.

There were stone benches here that could accommodate about 6 people.
"Hmm, which position should I sit in!?"
This is a bench that made me hesitate for a moment.
When there are benches of different heights, it feels somewhat unsettling when others are around....
Since the benches are close together, it's better to think of them as one bench.
And whether it's by design or not, the edges of the bench are tapered, making it feel somewhat unsatisfactory!
You might slip off when you sit down, haha!
Since there are places to rest in easy-to-find locations, it could also be used as a meeting spot in Nishikokubunji.
Also, if you're indoors, there's the "Lega 2F and 3F connecting passage" nearby, so please stop by!
So, why not use these places to sit and relax in Nishikokubunji?
