You'll find HaRuNe in the underground shopping area of the east exit of Odawara Station. It's a bit like ReRaKu, but it's HaRuNe!
The name "HaRuNe" comes from the phrase "roots that spread in Odawara." I was a little surprised to learn that!
To get to HaRuNe, you can access it from the under the pedestrian deck at the east exit of Odawara Station.

It was renovated and reopened in 2014, and the inside of HaRuNe is clean and bright, giving the impression that it's not really an underground shopping area at first glance.
The rest area we'll be introducing this time is the "Umemaru Hiroba" located at the bottom center of the floor guide.

HaRuNe is designed with the community in mind, and the plaza is used as an event space.
Umemaru Hiroba is located behind the escalator leading to Odawara Station, so it's easily accessible from the station!

And at Umemaru Hiroba, there are places to sit and rest.
There's plenty of space, and there are many benches that are convenient for meeting up at Odawara Station.
I think it's easy to use for groups and families.

It's close to the station and convenient for a quick break when sightseeing in Odawara. It also connects to Odawara LUSCA, the station building.
Also, there's a post box at Umemaru Hiroba, which is unusual for an underground shopping area.

There are other rest areas inside HaRuNe as well, and there are also benches with trees growing on them.
- Near the escalator on the castle street side, near Curves.
- Near JINS on the HaRuNe Gallery side.
There are wooden benches.
Especially the area near the escalator on the castle street side has a large number of seats and is suitable for taking a break.
Also, if you want to rest at a table, "HaRuNe Hiroba" is also recommended.
So, why not take advantage of this place to sit and rest near Odawara Station while you're shopping at HaRuNe?
