If you're looking for a relaxing spot near the north exit of Oji Station, look no further than Oji Ekimae Park!
To get to Oji Ekimae Park, go past the bus rotary at the north exit, and walk along Meiji Street, with the landmark Sun Square on your side.

It's located in a sort of delta shape, sandwiched between roads.
Ah, I see, it seems to be nicknamed "Triangle Park"!

Here's what the information board at Oji Ekimae Park says:
"Oji, loved by the common people since the Edo period... (omitted) A bright and open park where people meet and relax..."
...It sounds a bit wistful, doesn't it! Be a little more confident! (lol)
The park was opened in 1955 on the site of a reservoir that was created by diverting water from the Senkawa Josui.
Printing... speaking of which, Oji is known for "Oji Paper," Japan's first paper manufacturing company.

There were many red iron benches in the park. The red stands out in combination with Nippon Rent-A-Car in the background!
It's a relatively large park for being in front of the station, and it's easy to get around with a stroller.
Also, flower beds and wooden decks have been installed to alleviate the sterile atmosphere of the north exit of Oji Station.

These benches use the vermilion color of "Oji Inari Shrine" and "Shosoku Inari Shrine" as an accent color.
As you can see, they are not very comfortable to sit on.

There is also a flower bed with beautiful flowers, but the safety is not so good...
However, since it is close to Oji Station, it can be used as a meeting place in Oji.

This time, the vermilion sign of Acom and the benches are a perfect match!
For now, it seems like you can also use it as a place to eat your Oji lunch.
There is a museum of banknotes and stamps nearby, so let's visit it as well.
It's open from 9:30 to 17:00, and admission is free!
I wanted to go there on my way to the rest area, but I gave up because it was almost closing time...
So, how about using it as a resting place where you can sit in Oji?
