On the New Shuttle side of the west exit of Omiya Station, there is a shopping center called DOM.

It used to have "OPA" as its main tenant, but it closed in 2017, and Uniqlo and Honeys opened.

You can access the 2nd floor of DOM directly from the pedestrian deck of the west exit of Omiya Station.

If you proceed towards DOM along the deck from the west exit, there is a place to sit and take a break next to the entrance of Marui on the 2nd floor.

There were 6 two-seater benches installed.

This resting area is under the eaves of the 3rd floor of DOM, so it's a bench that is easy to use even in the rain.

I visited in the summer, and I was able to take a break while avoiding direct sunlight, so I thought it was convenient when I wanted to take a short break near Omiya Station.

The back of the bench is planted with greenery, which gives a little peace of mind.

Also, since the adjacent building is across the road, it's a bright resting place without a sense of pressure.

The space near the DOM entrance/exit is wide, so it's nice to be able to take a break without feeling cramped.

Therefore, there is a lot of foot traffic, but it doesn't bother you too much.

After all, it's located in an easily accessible place from Omiya Station, making it a perfect spot for meeting up or taking a break in Omiya.

By the way, if you want to do desk work or eat your lunch at a table seat nearby, "DOM B1F Sealight Rest Area" is recommended!
