Shin-Omiya is a complex facility next to Sonic City, housing offices, public facilities, and commercial establishments.
Shin-Omiya consists of three parts: the North Wing and South Wing, which are 20 stories tall, and the Center Plaza.
For public facilities, there are the Saitama City Sakuragi Library, community centers, and lifelong learning centers.
To get to Shin-Omiya, go through the pedestrian deck on the west exit of Omiya Station, past Sonic City.
You can directly access the South Wing 2F from the deck.
And, there was a place to sit and rest in the atrium of the Center Plaza, which is a short distance from the South Wing.

There were 4 benches with 4 seats each in the atrium.
Because it's an atrium connecting to the 2nd floor deck, it creates an open space.
There's plenty of space, so it's recommended when you want to take a relaxing break!
It seems like it would be nice for office workers to eat their lunch here.

These are quite stylish benches with backs.
There are plants in the center. They were very thin trees, but I wonder what they are called.
Even so, the combination of plants and benches often doesn't have backs, so this is a rare type.

A little further from the atrium, there was a stage and benches where you could sit.
It seems like it might be used when an event is held.
The 1st floor of the Center Plaza has an izakaya (Japanese pub), so those who are drunk can take a break on the stage and sober up.

By the way, there's also a place to sit and rest on the deck connecting the North Wing and South Wing.
About 6 iron benches for two people were placed there.

The seating comfort is as you see, but because there are plants between the benches, it's good that you can rest without worrying about the person next to you.
By the way, the view from the deck is....
The color of the deck is chic, creating a stylish space.
Why not stop by here and take a break if you come near Sonic City?

I forgot to mention something important.
This atrium has a glass ceiling.
You can rest even on rainy days, and it's a spot where you can take a break while avoiding direct sunlight.
This is convenient!

If you go straight from the atrium and head towards the parking lot, you'll find a rest area like this.
Even those who usually use Shin-Omiya may not know about it...
What surprised me here was that there was someone resting on the right side of the photo!
It looks like no one is there, right? They seemed to be hiding in the shade of the plants, which was surprising.
"The atrium is nice, but I want to rest indoors!"
For those people, the " Shin-Omiya North Wing 1F/2F Rest Area" nearby is recommended!
So, why not use Shin-Omiya as a place to take a break while you're at it, and explore the resting places around Omiya?
