Around Tokyo Skytree, you'll find Tokyo Solamachi, Sumida Aquarium, Planetarium Tenku, and the East Tower of the office buildings, and the entire area is called Skytree Town.
And near the "Tokyo Skytree East Intersection" in front of Skytree Town, there seems to be a modern-looking bicycle parking lot.

There is a concrete parking lot building.
There were quite a few bicycles parked. It seems to be used by many people.

What is this staircase that seems to lead to the terrace!?
It makes me excited, so shall we go up?

It seems that the Oshiage Station Bicycle Parking Lot has a rooftop plaza attached to it!
The opening hours were written as 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, but other signboards stated that it was until 7:00 PM by default, so it seems to vary depending on the season.
This feeling reminded me of this rest area somehow.

Tada! When you go up the stairs next to the entrance of the parking lot, you can get to the rooftop where you can see the buildings along the Tobu Line.

And at the end of the rooftop, there was a place to sit and take a break!
It's a bench made of iron pipes, and about 8 people can sit there.

It has a roof, so it seems to be able to protect you from direct sunlight and some rain.
It's an inorganic bench without a user-friendly feel, but I think it's convenient when you want to eat your lunch box near Oshiage Station or as a meeting place.
However, the seating comfort was not so good, so I gave it 2 stars.

You can enjoy the dynamic scenery of Skytree from the rooftop plaza.
When I visited, there was no one there, so I think it's a hidden spot where you can enjoy the night view of Skytree!

Other than the view from the rooftop, there's no need to visit this rooftop plaza...
But it might be recommended when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and just relax.

It's an open space, so I thought it might be a good spot to enjoy the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, but it seems to be closed during the fireworks festival. Too bad!
There are also spaces where you can relax and rest in a space with greenery.
So, why not try using it as a resting place with seating around Skytree?
