-Ryogoku-Edo NOREN is a commercial facility designed with the image of an Edo town, located in the former Ryogoku Station building.
In addition to restaurants, there is a tourist information center and an exhibition of a real sumo ring, making it a facility where you can enjoy a bit of entertainment.
To get to Edo NOREN, it's located next to the rotary at the west exit of JR Ryogoku Station.

Edo NOREN is a two-story facility, but the second floor only houses "Tsukiji Shokudo Gen-chan," so the main area is on the first floor.
And, I found a place where you can sit and rest near the sumo ring in the center of the floor!

There were 6 two-seater wooden benches set up in front of the sumo ring.
Wow, the interior is really elaborate. It seems like foreign tourists would enjoy it too.

As it's an indoor facility, the air conditioning works well, and it's convenient if you want to take a break near Ryogoku Station.
Please note that the arrangement of the benches may differ during events, so the number of benches is for reference only.

The benches are made of black painted wood, and the seating comfort is quite ordinary. Really ordinary.
But, it can be used as a meeting spot at Ryogoku Station.

This sumo ring is the same size as the Ryogoku Kokugikan! It was quite impressive~.

Actually, there's also a bench between "Kabuki Maguro" and "Chanko Kirishima."
I liked this one better because you could rest more quietly than in front of the sumo ring.
Besides the benches, I thought Edo NOREN was quite a cool facility.
Chanko nabe (sumo stew), Fukagawa meshi (clams and rice), monjayaki (savory pancake), sushi, seafood, tempura, soba noodles, and sweets – you can find a variety of Japanese cuisine here.
And because there are only long-established restaurants, I think it's perfect for lunch or dinner while sightseeing in Tokyo.
It's much better than going to a department store's restaurant area.
Anyway, the matcha parfait at "Ryogokubashi Saryo" looks super delicious. I'll eat it during the second Ryogoku bench survey. I will.
So, why not use it as a meeting place or a seating rest area in Ryogoku?
