The Carrot Tower, a symbol of Sangenjaya, is located near the Tokyu Setagaya Line.
This tower is called "Carrot" because the outer walls are the color of carrots.
So it's easy to recognize visually, haha.
To get to the Carrot Tower from Sangenjaya Station on the Den-en-toshi Line, exit the ticket gates and head straight through the underground shopping area, and go to the Sancha Patio, where there is a plaza.

You should see an information board like the one above along the way.
Once you pass the patio and go up to the ground level, you'll arrive in front of the Carrot Tower.
And, on the 26th floor of the Carrot Tower, there is a "Sky Carrot Observation Lobby" that you can enter for free!
To get to the observation lobby, go up to the 2nd floor using the escalators in the Carrot Tower, and then take the dedicated elevator located after passing the restrooms!
※Please note that the elevators on the 1st floor or near the escalator exits do not go up to the 26th floor!
The observation lobby was renovated and reopened in November 2017 in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics.
It seems that exhibition corners and sales of Setagaya souvenirs have been set up.
And, in addition to the cafe and restaurant in the observation lobby, there are also places where you can sit and rest.

From the large glass windows of the observation lobby, you can get a panoramic view of the Setagaya area!
Unlike the Tokyo Tower, the scenery unique to Setagaya Ward, where residential areas are densely packed, may be refreshing.
It's open from 9:30 to 23:00, so it's also an excellent spot for free night views in Tokyo!
The straight line view to Yoga is great! (・∀・)

...I introduced the observation area right away, haha.
Let's take a look at the rest areas!

Single-seater cushion benches were lined up on the cafe floor, a little further from the elevator.
I checked on a Saturday afternoon, and about 70% of the seats were filled.
Looking at the users, I got the impression that there were many local residents.
Also, there is a space with cushion benches next to the cafe.

Five seats were placed side by side here.
Since the benches are in a recessed space, the walls of the cafe can be used as a backrest.
Moreover, the feature of this seating is that you can sit and rest while enjoying the view.
This is the view on the Tamagawa-dori road and the Metropolitan Expressway side of National Route 246.

The Metropolitan Expressway No. 3 Shibuya Line extends to Yoga.
I noticed that there are many buildings along the expressway, perhaps because of the convenience of transportation. It's a residential area a little off the main road.
And here is the rest area in the space where you can see the view on the Metropolitan Expressway side.

There are 9 single sofas installed.
This was comfortable because it had a backrest.
If you are looking at the 26th floor observation lobby of the Carrot Tower, these sofa seats would be comfortable.
Carrot Tower, where you can enjoy the view of the Tokyo Setagaya area at a free observation deck.
It was the best recommended spot in Sangenjaya where you can relax in a quiet space!
It's also recommended for dates in Sangenjaya because you can enjoy the night view.
By the way, it seemed like it would be nice to use the cafe and restaurant here.
Okura Restaurant Sky Carrot offers courses and à la carte dishes while enjoying the view. It's also suitable for dates and anniversaries.
I heard that you can get a panoramic view of the night view during the bar time!?
So, how about using it as a rest area around Sangenjaya Station?
