When you think of Sawara, you think of the old townscape, the Suigo boat tour, and Ino Tadataka!
You can access all of these tourist spots on foot from Sawara Station.
I arrived at Sawara Station around 1:00 PM, and I still had plenty of time to enjoy the sights.
By the way, on the way from Sawara Station to the Suigo tourist attractions, there was a commercial facility called Mayu Shopping Center.
This shopping center is filled with local shops. The name "Mayu" (meaning "eyebrow") is cute, isn't it?
I visited on a Sunday evening, and the parking lot was full.

And in front of the camera store in Mayu Shopping Center, there were benches arranged around the trees!

They are a bit old wooden benches, but perfect for a break.
Since there is a distance to the Suigo boat tour, it's a good idea to sit and rest here.

On the other side, there were wooden tables that can seat four people!
They are the type that you often see outdoors, and they are well-built tables.
It's perfect for a break when you visit Sawara for sightseeing with children or family.
Why not use them when you are shopping at Mayu Shopping Center or the shopping street!?
Also, I recommend that you also visit the tables near "South Exit Station Front Police Box"!
Also, there is a "Burekimera Rest Area" in the townscape of Sawara, so you can sit and rest at the tourist attractions as well.
So, why not use these as rest areas around Sawara Station?
