The benches near the Shimokitazawa Police Box are perfect for taking a break when your feet get tired from sightseeing and shopping in Shimokitazawa's North Exit area!
I was pretty tired from looking for benches myself... haha
Now, to get to the benches, go out the North Exit of Shimokitazawa Station, pass by Ozeki and Honda Theater, and head north along the Shimokitazawa East Street shopping street until you reach the police box.
“The Suzunari” and “Kitazawa Town Mall” are nearby.
And there are benches around Central Sports and in front of the police box where you can sit and rest.
(*If you're not sure where it is, please use the route search at the bottom of the page!)

A promenade has been developed in the space freed up by the underground construction of the Odakyu Line.
There are two 2-seater benches with handrails, and they are relatively new and in beautiful condition!
They are secured as a resting space from the sidewalk, so you can sit and rest without getting in the way of passersby.

Next to Central Sports, right behind the benches, there are two 2-seater wooden benches surrounded by palm trees.
It's a tropical-looking bench in Shimokita.
I visited on the middle day of the three-day holiday in late September, but there wasn't much traffic on the alley in front of the benches, so I was able to relax surprisingly.

This is the view of the Shimokitazawa East Street shopping street from the bench.
There are also plants, and it's relatively clean, isn't it!

And in front of the Shimokitazawa Police Box, there was a small rest spot.
This is the main street of the shopping district with a lot of people, so it gave a slightly restless impression.
The benches near the promenade seem better for resting.
There aren't many places to relax near the shopping streets of Shimokitazawa, so it's convenient when you want to take a short break.
In addition, there is a "Kitazawa Town Hall 1F rest area" with tables and counter seats where you can use free Wi-Fi, so please stop by as well!
So, how about using it as a resting place when you are sightseeing or shopping in Shimokitazawa?
