To get to Wing Takanawa, head towards the Takanawa exit of Shinagawa Station, go past the Keikyu ticket gates and Wing Takanawa, and then head towards the intersection with the Dai-ichi Keihin Road.
Cross the intersection and go past the McDonald's in Wing Takanawa WEST, and you'll see the steep Icho-zaka slope.
And, there's a seating area in the West Court in front of the Akita Misaikan, located on the way up Icho-zaka.

There are 4 tables with 4 seats each and 4 benches with 2 seats each.
The table seats are located in an area surrounded by plants, providing a bit of a screen.
However, the tables are close together, so it might not be the most relaxing place when it's crowded.
The table seats are convenient for eating lunch in Shinagawa or for taking a break with children.
There's a McDonald's near the Wing Takanawa WEST entrance/exit, but it doesn't have many seats, making it difficult to find a place to eat. So, you might want to consider taking your food to go and eating it here.

On the other hand, the benches are scattered around, placed near the plants.
The benches near Icho-zaka get good sunlight, but the ones near the Wing Takanawa 2F entrance/exit are in the shade of the building, so you can take a break away from direct sunlight.
Regarding congestion, on Saturdays and Sundays in June, the benches were available, but the table seats were full.
It seems that it tends to be crowded during the more pleasant seasons, as shown below.

It's true that it's located in a place that's visible when visiting Aqua Park Shinagawa or the movie theater, so it seems to be well-known.
If you want to take a break at a table seat in Shinagawa, but it's crowded...
In that case, we recommend the "spacious 4-person table seat rest area" located on Icho-zaka, so please check it out too!
So, why not consider using this as a seating area in Shinagawa?
