The Shinjuku NS Building is a high-rise building with 30 floors above ground.
To get to the NS Building, go out the South Exit, head towards Hatsudai along Koshu Kaido, and turn towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building at the Nishi-Shinjuku intersection. It's located behind the West Exit of Yodobashi Camera.

Here is the exterior of the NS Building. The place where you go down the stairs you see in the photo is the 1st floor, and it leads to the "One Day Street" underground passage of the South Exit.
Let's go down the stairs!

The 1st floor is a plaza with places to sit and rest.
There are two round benches that can seat about 10 people and six 3-seater wooden benches.

Benches are placed near the Freshness Burger and Sukiya on the 1st floor.
These are sturdy benches, like those found in a garden, and are perfect for taking a break.
Moreover, these benches are illuminated by spotlights under the eaves, making them great for Nomad/Remote work.
(I'm writing this article, spreading out my laptop at this resting spot!)

The round benches in the center of the plaza have planters in the middle, creating a touch of greenery while surrounded by concrete.
This is convenient for families with children and those who want to eat lunch in Shinjuku.

I visited on a Saturday, and it's generally a quiet environment, recommended for those who want to take a break away from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku.
I was updating my blog on this bench, and before I knew it, it was night (lol)
Also, as shown in the photos above, some of the resting areas were cordoned off with traffic cones when I visited in the evening, but they were removed at night. Perhaps there was some event. I think it was a temporary measure.
The NS Building also has indoor resting areas.
So, why not use the NS Building as a resting spot when you are in the Shinjuku area?
