To get to Shinjuku Center Building, go from the Central Exit on the west side, past the Cocoon Tower, and you'll find it next to the intersection.
Alternatively, you can go towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building through the west exit underground mall and enter the Center Building from the N4 exit or where you see the brick-style restaurant street.
And, there is a seating area in the public open space on the 1st floor of the Shinjuku Center Building.
*The public open space is a kind of open space that can be freely accessed and used.

Stone benches are installed.
The environment of the rest area is open and spacious, so you can relax without feeling cramped.
It was a comfortable place to rest, even though it was close to Shinjuku Station.
The following objects were installed at the entrance to the public open space from the Shinjuku Police Station Mae Street.

This is a work by Keimu Kamata called "Hand of Peace."
It seems that the Shinjuku Creators Festa Executive Committee is in charge of this object.
The production year was written as 2017, so it was installed recently.
Now, if you take a walk around the public open space, you'll find seating areas appearing here and there.

The stone benches are not just cut-outs, but are designed and seem to have some kind of message.
Also, it's a little hard to see, but there is a small path in the planting next to the second stone bench.
I went through it, but... I'll leave the rest for you to enjoy on the spot, haha.
I visited the rest area on a sunny day in June, around noon, and was able to rest in the shade of the building, avoiding direct sunlight.
It's also convenient to remember as a place to eat lunch in Shinjuku.
Also, I recommend the "sofa bench inside the Center Building" right in front of you, so please stop by.
Why not use it as a resting place around Shinjuku?
