Here's a rest area located on the pedestrian bridge that crosses Shichijo Street from Umekoji-Kyoto-Nishi Station to the Hotel Emion side, utilizing the elevated track of the former railway line. Benches are arranged facing each other on three sides within a space that was once a maintenance crew's retreat. It's a great setup for chatting with friends.
The pedestrian bridge also retains some of the original signage from its active days, which might be a treat for train enthusiasts.
