The exterior of this building (Chaska Chayamachi) was designed by the Tadao Ando Architect & Associates. When you hear that, the inorganic feel really does seem like Ando-san's design, doesn't it? I wonder if this stone bench is also part of the design.
As a side note, Mr. Tadao Ando's office is located nearby, and I've seen him walking around the city several times.
