Speaking of an oasis in Akasaka... Akasaka Hikawa Park!
It's a park that feels like a Western garden, with a beautiful rose garden and fountains.
Akasaka Hikawa Park was opened as a park on the site of the former Hikawa Elementary School, which was established in the Meiji era.
By the way, nearby is Akasaka Hikawa Shrine, one of Tokyo's three major shrines for matchmaking!
Now, to get to Akasaka Hikawa Park, go out of Exit 5b of Akasaka Station, cross the International New Akasaka Building, and go up the hill in front of the Lawson signal.

The scenery of Akasaka Hikawa Park is truly an oasis in the city!
I visited in January, so it wasn't the best time, but the roses are said to bloom beautifully in May and October!

There is an entrance to the park on the way up the hill, and cute planters welcome you♪
Actually, there's a parking lot under the park. In other words, it's a park on an artificial ground.

A shot of beautifully blooming roses and a resting place.
This is a healing spot in Akasaka... isn't it?

Benches and waterways are set up around the flowerbeds, providing a relaxing environment for rest.
I'd like to recommend it as a place to eat lunchboxes in Akasaka!
By the way, the castle-like building in the back... I'll introduce it later (lol)

There were benches around the flowerbeds where you could sit.
From these benches, you can also see the distinctive exterior of the TBS Broadcasting Center Building.

There was a fountain and benches at the back of the park.
What caught my attention was that there are people living in the area on the right side of the photo...
Since opinions are divided on this park, the scenery is wonderful, but I've given it ★3 for comfort.

Four single benches were set up around the dogwoods.
It feels like the benches, which are weather-resistant, were added to the four corners of the concrete later.

On the castle-like building side, there were swings, spring riders, a small slide, and public toilets.
I visited on a Saturday, and it was bustling with families with children♪
It seems to be popular as a park where children can play in Akasaka.

The clock at Akasaka Hikawa Park, and it's already past snack time.
There are also vending machines, and it's a recommended resting place when you want to relax in Akasaka or take a break from walking!
And the castle that stands out!
... Buildings with an impact on the appearance are usually that kind of thing. That's right. In a prime location in Akasaka!?
Also, if you want to relax in a spacious place with a sense of openness in Akasaka, "International New Akasaka Building West Refresh Square" is recommended, so be sure to check it out!

So, why not use it as a place to sit and rest in Akasaka?
