The International Shin-Akasaka Building is a twin-tower structure consisting of the East Tower (24 floors above ground) and the West Tower (18 floors above ground).
The East Tower is closer to Hie Shrine, and the West Tower is closer to Akasaka Elementary School.
The East Tower houses tenants such as Starbucks, Maruetsu Petit, FamilyMart, and a bookstore, so it feels like the East Tower is the main area.
To get to the East Tower of the International Shin-Akasaka Building, it's right outside Exit 5a of Akasaka Station on the Chiyoda Line.

This is Exit 5a of Akasaka Station.
The brick-style exterior is the outer structure of the International Shin-Akasaka Building and corresponds to B1F.
And there's a place to sit and take a break in the space called the Refresh Plaza, which is directly in front of Exit 5a!

The Refresh Plaza has a lovely geometric floor pattern and streetlights placed at equal intervals.
There is a plaza in front of Starbucks on the B1F of the International Shin-Akasaka Building, so you might find it easier to understand if you say "in front of Starbucks."

The Bunkyodo bookstore is on the 1st floor.
It's a space like a patio, surrounded by the brick exterior and the greenery of the planting.
It's a spot where you can relax and take a break with a great sense of openness!

There is a bench for three people, and the handrails are integrated with the backrest.
It has a mesh structure, so it's nice that water doesn't collect on the seat even in the rain.
Since there are the supermarket Maruetsu Petit and FamilyMart, it's convenient as a place to eat lunchboxes in Akasaka♪

You can also enjoy the view of the towering TBS Broadcasting Center Building.
By the way, I visited on a Saturday, but the Starbucks in the International Shin-Akasaka Building was quite empty...
It seems like there are many office users on weekdays, but it might be a surprisingly hidden gem.

By the way, there are also benches where you can sit and take a break around the stairs from the B1F plaza.
There is little foot traffic here, and it's convenient because it's close to Maruetsu.

The area around the planting on the 1st floor of the International Shin-Akasaka Building is complex and intertwined, making it feel like a fortress, and it's fun to explore.
By the way, there is a bench where you can sit and take a break in the cranked area in this photo.

There was a curved stone bench.
It's in a place that's not very noticeable, so you can relax and take a break, and I think it's also suitable for eating lunchboxes.
Please stop by because the view of the Refresh Plaza from here is also quite lovely.
Also, if there's an East, there's also a West!
So, "【Akasaka Station】International Shin-Akasaka Building West Tower Refresh Plaza" was less crowded than the East Tower, so be sure to check it out!

So, why not take advantage of the International Shin-Akasaka Building and use it as a place to sit and take a break in Akasaka?
